4 hours later...

After realizing that 1 training run in the mountains wouldn't be NEARLY enough to prepare us for Catalina - we head back out for 16 miles...

It was great! I mean, it was rough at times, but it was amazing. We walked up the tough hills, saw a bunch of wild turkeys, encountered a rogue pug, saw bear prints on the path, and ate a QUICK lunch on the water. The trail home was tough at times and there wasn't much talking, but we just pushed forward until we made it!

I like my new shoes - the Brooks Cascadia.  Totally different that my Asics Gel Nimbus, but very necessary for the trails! They tread is "aggressive" according to the girl at the SRC.

Anyways, next up - San Jose 1/2 marathon....
